MORE evidence (for those that actually care about evidence) that none of the Duke Lacrosse players are guilty of rape.

So for those who are keeping score:

1. No DNA linking any of the 4 accused players of rape
2. At least one of the accused has iron clad proof (ATM video) that he wasn’t even there, and witnesses (cab driver) that corroborate the video.
   
3. The accuser has a sordid history, including making false rape statements previously to police
4. There are NO witnesses that corroborate the accuser’s story.
5. The accuser has told many different versions of the story.
6. The accuser’s partner in “exotic dancing,” has initially claimed that the accuser’s story was BS, then changed her story when it looked like she might get a payday out of it, then waffled some more as the promise of a payday for her has grown thin.
7. No other forensic data (hair, matching bruises, etc) that implicates the players has been found to show the accuser was ever touched by any member of the Duke Lacrosse Team.
8. There is LOTS of evidence that she had MULTIPLE sex partners before she ever got to the Duke team’s party.
9. The accuser was reported by the Durham police as being drunk as a skunk (or would that be skank?) when they found her and she refused to get out of her car and comply with the police at first.
10. Pictures, taken by the players show the accuser falling down drunk on the steps of the house (accounting for some scrapes) and then leaving, then coming back and banging on the door demanding to be let back in, not typical behavior for a gang rape victim.

And I could go on, but I’ll cap it at ten.

Meanwhile, DA Nifong claims that he has an iron clad case, and although he has been extremely vocal in his denunciations of the players, he has nevertheless kept his “evidence” mysteriously hidden.

Perhaps he’s counting on hysteria and pathological liberal hatred of all things White and Male to carry the day. Or perhaps he thinks that intimidating witnesses for the players will be enough.

What this case shows, more than anything, is the pathological nature of the left/liberal mindset.

I have no doubt the the Lacrosse players are all good doctrinaire liberals themselves. They go to a very competitive university and are no doubt good students, which means they have learned their scholastic lessons very well. These days, learning your scholastic lessons means learning the marxoid agenda. These guys are probably able to parrot leftist bromides in their sleep.

Like all pathologies, leftism often destroys its own vehicles. As a result, when the prospect of stringing up some white guys for assaulting a black girl presented itself, the marxist turned into a frenzied mob.

It’s worth pointing out that in April of 2003, another assault occured on Duke campus. A young NCCU student was hospitalized after being severely beaten on Duke campus by Duke students (including the Student President) after escorting his Duke girlfriend back to campus. Didn’t hear about that? That’s because all the people involved were black.

There were no candlelight vigils. There were no endless hand wringing sessions and sobbing about “justice” and other things marxist don’t believe in. There were no endless lectures by marxist newspaper editors about “lessons” that we all need to learn.

Why? Because there was no pay off. Guilt tripping the white man is the most profitable scam going these days. Whole industries (news and entertainment) devote huge amounts of time to that endeavor. Beyond that, there are hordes of bottom feeders like Nifong who depend on it for their livelihood and power. That is the sum total explanation for this whole ridiculous affair.

In a sane world, we should be able to count on the good sense of our fellow citizens to keep run away miscreants like Nifong from doing stupid things. But with the mental disease of leftism so prevalent in our society these days, especially in Durham, we are faced with a horrible prospect that would be familiar to denizens of Mao’s China or Stalinist Russia in times past: That is, in spite of the vast amount of exculpatory evidence in this case, these guys could very well end up in jail.

We have reached the point in America, a formerly free land, where being ideologically wrong can get you jail time.
